Verbs have number, either singular or plural. The singular or plural nature of the verb depends on its subject.

A singular verb requires a singular subject.

A plural verb requires a plural subject.

Tip 1: English nouns become plural by adding an s at the end. However, English verbs become singular by adding a s at the end.

Tip 2: Pronouns ending in body, thing or one (everybody, everything, everyone) are tread as singular for selecting verbs

Tip 3: Indefinite pronouns each, one, either, neithr are treated as singular for selecting verbs
