Kinds of Sentences

There are four main kinds of sentences: Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative, and Exclamatory.
A declarative sentence makes a statement about a person, place, or an idea. An interrogative sentence is used to ask a question. An imperative sentence issues a command. An exclamatory sentence states strong emotion or surprise.
